OH! The one I just got works great on my girls! Its Alfred Angelo 7132. Needs some alterations when they come in of course.

I love that you are being considerate of ALL your bridesmaids!  I was the Maid/Matron of Honor in a wedding a few years ago and I was one of the larger girls (size 18).  My friend let me choose the dress I liked best for my body shape and luckily everyone else loved it too.  However, another friend who was in the wedding ended up quitting before we made it to this point because all the dresses the bride liked didn’t come in her size.  It was heartbreaking 🙁

That said, maybe you could let the girls pick out their own dresses.  You can give them a color range/material that they have to stay within, but that way they can each choose the best dress for them.  It’s an option!

If they vary THAT much in size I’m sorry but no one dress will TRULY flatter them all, please at least consider putting them in different dresses! You can do the same color, fabric, and designer and have them each pick a style that flatters their shape. That’s what I did and my girls only varied from size 2-8, but even still every girl on earth has SUCH a different shape no matter what size, no one dress will flatter everybody. As a size 6 I can’t imagine being forced to wear the same dress as (and be compared to) a girl size 2, so I can’t even imagine how your size 26 girl will feel.

@nicolealfredo:

Find something that looks good on your size 26 maid.  Seriously, skinny people look good in everything.

@padme:  Yeah that’s not really true…I have friends who are all basically the same (small) size…but one has a large chest, one has a J-lo butt, one has NO butt but wider hips, but they’re all still skinny and they would not look good in the same dress…

I have the same size range with my maids. I chose a color and fabric and am allowing them to choose a style in which they feel comfortable.

@nicolealfredo:  I LOVE the dresses you picked out. As a plus-size girl, I would feel very pretty and comfortable in the one you are thinking about for ur full figured girls. The lines are flattering and the waist will be very camoflaging.

@vorpalette:  This, but I just chose the color and length.  My BMs ranged from a size 4 to 16, with one being 5 months pregnant thrown in for good measure.  They all chose their own style and looked fabulous!

I’m in the same boat – my BMs range from size 2 to 26. I decided to choose a designer and fabric/color and let them pick the dress that looks best on each one. Dessy/Alfred Sung and Alfed Angelo are two of the designers we are looking at since they have a wide range or sizes and styles all within the same fabrics and colors.

@nicolealfredo:  i had this problem too my bridesmaids range from 0-22 in size. it was really hard to pick something that would compliment everyone.. but i went with an alfred sung dress. i think the style will look great on everyone, and all my bridesmaids love the choice

@nicolealfredo:  I think the ones you picked look pretty good actually! A-line is definitely the way to go. For your plus size ladies, avoiding mermaid fitted skirts is usually a good idea.
