The dresses are either 66 Lt. Champagne or 024 Rose (from DressilyMe’s chiffon color chart). There are 3 in the 024 Rose and 2 in the 66 Lt. Champagne, so 5 BMs dresses all together. We ordered:
- Stunning Chiffon A-line Spaghetti Straps Bridesmaid Dress (style no. WBD00AKL)
- Stunning Chiffon A-line Sweetheart Short Bridesmaid Dress (style no. WBD00BGX)
- Stunning Chiffon A-line V-neck Neckline Short Bridesmaid Dress (style no. WBD00AZQ)
- Stunning Chiffon A-line Sweetheart Bridesmaid Dress (style no. WBD00AKB)
- Lovely Beautiful Bridesmaid Dress In Fashion Design With First-class Fabric And Great Handwork (style no. WBD0083)
Here I am holding my fabric swatch up to one of the 024 Rose dresses. All the dresses are chiffon and the dresses are slightly darker because the slip inside the dress is made of a light pink silk-like material. Chiffon is very thin/see-thru fabric so when another fabric is placed behind it, it can alter the overall color slightly.
Here is the fabric swatch against the top of the dress. Here it looks a lot lighter because the chiffon in the dress is layered/bunched together and there is a pink bodice behind this.
Here is the inside of the dress
I read in another bee’s post that ordering them all at the same time would ensure they were cut from the same bolt of fabric, and I didn’t notice any color variation when all the dresses were lined up.
All but one of my girls have tried on their dresses, and they all fit very well with minimal alterations (such as shortening the straps to make the chest area tighter).
For example, this dress (66 Lt. Champange) will need the straps shortened to tighten up the top & make my BM feel more secure:
Except for the maternity MOH, her dress is a little big right now. But she also estimated all her measurements at 4 months pregnant, and had to guesstimate her size at 7 months pregnant. Our strategy was that it would be better to order a dress that was too big and could at least be altered, as opposed to ordering a dress that would be too small at 7 months. She is going to have it altered, but is waiting until just a few weeks before the wedding to see how much more her body changes.
When I placed our order, I noted in the order this dress was going to be for a pregnant MOH. They responded the next day and wanted the measurement of the “circle surrounding the belly button” as well as the under bust size. These measurements are not requested when you order a custom size using the form on their website. I am really glad I told them this dress was for a pregnant woman, as they may have never asked for those additional measurements.
This is the maternity dress (still a little too big right now) in 66 Lt. Champagne:
All but one of the dresses we ordered were custom sizes. I figured $30 for a custom size was worth it, if it prevent alterations. The BM who received the standard size usually wears about an 8, but she ordered a 10 because she was concerned about one of the size 8 measurements being too small. The 10 fits her perfectly.
Here is a dress we requested straps to be added too. We picked another style of dress that had the straps, and then asked them to add those straps to this dress (Lovely Beautiful Bridesmaid Dress In Fashion Design With First-class Fabric And Great Handwork, style no. WBD0083Q).
Here is the back
Here are two dresses in the same 024 Rose side-by-side
Here is another dress in 024 Rose. The sash is actually removable on this dress, which is nice. But nothing on the site tells you that.
Now both MOB and MOG are considering ordering their gowns from DressilyMe.
I have been a BM myself 4 times, and each time the gowns were ordered from a local store at a min. of $150 each. This was my first experience ordering from DressilyMe and I’m pretty happy with the results.
