Sorry for another bridesmaid dress length question. I am getting married at the end of September outside before sunset on the water in southern Maine. The reception is going to be held inside at a different location that is modern and a little formal. What length of dress should I go with? Part of me says just to go with a shorter style since those have the greater chance of getting used again. Should I go with longer dresses since they will be a little warmer since it could be a little chilly that time of the year. In theory they won’t be outside too long anyways since it is just the ceremony that is outside. As for the location I think either short or long length dresses would work. Part of me wonders if long dresses might be too formal. Oh my, this is why I am asking for suggestions!

Tea-length would be nice! That way it is a little longer, but still short!

I would go short! I think in general they’re more flattering and conducive to multi-use. They can be dressed up or down!

I love the short Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses! my bridesmaid all agreed and picked on a long one because November is a little chilly. Since they have to wear it i let them picked the length. i figured they would go with shorter so they could wear it again but they loved the long one. it made them feel more like they were dressing up for a wedding

I like knee-length!! Tea-length just isn’t flattering on most people (myself included!) since it hits in your widest part of the calf. I like some long dresses if the material is right. Otherwise, I think they look heavy. I don’t think you can go wrong with a cocktail length dress.
