We planned our wedding from 4 different cities. I picked the color scheme I wanted, and told everyone to just find a dress they loved. My sister does not do dresses, and was my Maid/Matron of Honor and Officiant … so I told her to find something she was comfortable in that matched the scheme. She did a great job matching but not giving up her own comfort. They texted me for final approval, and it turned out beautifully! It can be done! I did the same with our guys. I DH wore jeans and I didn’t want 5 different washes of jeans up there so DH picked out his White shirt, and Dark wash jeans, sent the guys pics and the went and found them. It was simple and no one had issues.
I would finalize the scheme you wanted and see what they come up with. I think you’d be surprised how easily it comes together

You could also search around on etsy, see what you like with what they can afford pricewise and ask a few sellers if they can work within your timeline and just have them all order independently so that they get their dresses on time?

I think you are going to have a much harder time if you don’t order online. Forget official bridesmaid dresses. Get regular dresses with your colors and/or style and have each girl order herself one. In 4-5 months, they can order, return, and re-order many, many dresses without penalty at many stores. Brick and morter shopping will really limit you in this case.

Are you able to pick a dress for the girls and have them provide you their measurements and just place the order for them. I’m sure David’s Bridal can put a RUSH on the order and then they can try them on – hopefully in Feb and then get any alterations by June. Every town usually has a seamstress! – A fellow Canadian
