In the interest of saving my wedding party money, I was hoping to use Netbride to order the gowns but wondering how to get started. Since my color is very specific (an orangey red ie. persimmon, burnt orange, mango tango, etc), I want to see it in person. I live in Chicago and was going to try house of brides or other local stores to try on the specific dresses I have seen online and like (mori lee, jasmine, bill levkoff, dessy, alfred angelo, alfred sung). I have a few questions:
1. Obviously I wouldn’t tell the store where we go to see/try on the dresses that I am going to order online, but what do you say when they start in with the sales pitch? (I’m a sucker and can often cave under a pushy sales gal), and I kind of feel bad wasting a sales person’s time when I have no intention of buying from him/her.
2. Once I’ve decided on one, what is the best way to go about ordering in terms of paying. Do I put it all on my card and have my attendants reimburse me? Do I direct them to the site and tell them what to buy? (It looks like with netbride it’s better to order all at once).
3. Should I give them the option to shop around for a cheaper price on the dress if they can find one?
Thanks again for the help, once the bridesmaid dresses are ordered, I’ll feel very accomplished!
