Bridesmaid dresses – where did you get yours?

I am letting my bridesmaids pick any dress of their choosing as long as it’s a solid black evening gown. However, when my sister got married, I was the Maid/Matron of Honor. I really wanted to use Weddington Way but my sister and mom decided it was a bad idea because the other girls were not as comfortable buying something without trying it on. Instead she picked a brand of dress and a color. The girls who were local went to a nearby salon, tried them on and ordered them. The girls in other cities (myself included) found salons near us that carried that designer and ordered our dresses on our own.

We used ASOS.com and I highly recommend it! Can’t go wrong with free shipping and returns 🙂

I used Azazie and am happy with the results! Only thing is the colors show up a bit weird on their site, so make sure to research photos from actually weddings. I chose Mulberry and the dressed came out in the raspberry/magenta color I was hoping for.

Azazie! I wanted to have everyone in the same color, but pick out a dress of their own style. The website was perfect for that. It also allows you to order a swatch of fabric (I think it was $4) so you can ensure that the color is what you want. My wedding hasn’t happened yet, but it seems like my bridesmaids liked being able to pick out what they wanted and have it delivered.

I did David’s Bridal for my girls. It’s also where I got my wedding dress. I didn’t want for them to order anything online that they did not try on/get fitted for first.

David’s. For all it’s flaws, it was the easiest option with out of town bridesmaids.

For my wedding, I chose to use a well reviewed Etsy shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/AtomAttire  I ordered one dress so the girls could try and we also shopped at multiple stores when they were all in town. Each girl prefered the dress from Atom Attire over the bridal stores and it was a quater of the price. It was easy to order and they looked beautiful on everyone.

However, for my sisters wedding she went with Davids and I have to say, as one of the bridal party, I found the cost to quality a bit much (but thats just me!) but it was easy.

Azazie! Great quality and fitting. Free custom sizing, can’t beat that! I ordered color swatches and tape measures for everyone for $3 each, and ordered 2 sample dreses myself for $10 each to check the quality and length before sending my “showroom” link to everyone.

If you’re interested in rental, Vow to be Chic also looks good. And it’s cheap.

I think Weddington Way is now a part of Banana Republic!

BHLDN and Adrianna Pappel were GORGEOUS but sadly too expensive for my BMs, most of whom are students or recent grads.

JJshouse.com

it was a very last minute second option as the original custom dress plan fell thru about 5weeks before the wedding day.
