I’m on the hunt for something to keep my bridesmaids warm for outdoor pictures in Canada’s lovely December weather.
I’ll be wearing this, so its only fair I dont let the girls freeze to death.
I’ve noticed fur wraps for $30 on ebay…Is this trustworthy though? I’m hoping to find a good price as this is a bonus bridesmaid gift and I still intend to buy them something else. Do you have any suggestions?
I’m looking for wraps like this

You get faux fur fabric from a fabric store and cut to the size you want and stich on a purple (to match yours) ribbon for closure.

Hey There Fellow Albertan,
I ordered a bunch of stuff (my veil, our furs, decor, and custom etched wine glasses) from Etsy.com for our wedding and the quality, prices and customer service was AWESOME!! Plus….since etsy sells handmade goods from the USA we in Canada don’t have to pay duty on the items.
I ordered 2 faux fur wraps from AlexBridal on Etsy for $50 USD each which was a steal compared to the $154 they wanted in the bridal stores here in town. The one you posted a pic of was more but I am sure Etsy has other sellers with better prices. I would definitely order from Etsy.
Here are our furs….and they were perfect for our outdoor winter wedding in Banff.
On side note…I was amazed (and my sister too) as to how warm our dresses were. Our temperature was around -2 (which isn’t cold) and I was sweating most of the day…even outside. I am sure the fur wrap will be fine for the small amount of time that you guys will be outside. We were outside from ceremony at noon, patio hot chocolate after, ski hill chairlift ride, then more photos until 3:45 pm. Bring a few fleece blankets to help cover up during the downtime. I LOVE WINTER WEDDINGS! Good luck and congrats!

I second the suggestion to get some faux fur from a fabric store. I am not a sewer by any stretch, but I would be able to make something like this! Faux fur shrugs/wraps in stores are typically $75+.

If you make them I would suggest lining them with something….ours (and most that I have seen) were lined with satin which was nice on the bare arms. The back of faux fur can be stiff and scratchy.
