So, I am trying to determine bridesmaid gifts for my girls but I’m a bit stuck. First, none of my girls wear jewelry (neither do I so thankfully I don’t have to stress over finding jewelry for them!), and none are the kind to wait a bridesmaid-labeled anything or personalized/monogrammed tote.
I’m also trying to figure out how much to spend on these things….all the girls are local for the wedding (I actually am out-of-state, flying to my home state, they all live within an hour) and the only requirement I’ve had for them aside from showing up is paying for their dresses (which they picked out themselves, I only mandated a color). I’m not having a shower, and my sister/MOH is covering the costs of the bachelorette party on her own (I already bought her an incredible gift to thank her so that she is already taken care of).
So how much do you think I should spend (minimum) for each of the remaining bridesmaids? And are these good ideas? I’ve been considering getting them the combination of….
- A Coach wristlet (all the same one? or pick one for each girl separately??)
- personalized, hand-written notes
- A nice lipgloss (not one they have to use day-of)
- A small frame for a photo (this might be tricky as I have no photos of me with Future Sister-In-Law, so I might not put a photo in the frame but say I’ll send one from the wedding for everyone)
- Something else???????

@bearlove: I’m totally biased…I got my girls the coach wristlets (all the same one – but its a nice black one) and of course a hand-written note!
I wish I had bought one for myself, they are reasonably priced at the outlets. I hope my girls love them when they get them next week!
ETA; by reasonably priced, I mean $35 a piece. I’m also paying for their hair, but I don’t see it as a gift.

@Stammie16: Oh yes! I plan to drive down to the Jackson outlets when I’m home in April 🙂 I’m sure your girls will love them! And ahhh! You’re wedding is so soon!!! congrats!

@bearlove: Haha, I love those outlets! And Coach is always having their ‘sale’ of 30% off when you go too!

this sounds so good!! i would get each girl a different wristlet.

I think this is a great idea! I would get them each a different wristlet… And you could get a pic with each Bridesmaid or Best Man at the wedding to send to them – Sounds great!

I’m trying to figure out my bridesmaids’ gifts as well!
You’ve got some great options, I think. Not too cliche, and stuff that’ll get used.
I’ve been thinking that I like the idea of personalized initial necklaces, but I’m not sure they would meet the tastes of a couple of my maids.
I’ve also really liked the idea of getting a Burt’s Bees/The Body Shop/L’Occitane/(Insert Respected Brand Name Here) kit of useful products like lip balms, hand creams… (I’ll obviously wrap whatever I get in a pretty way as well, with a personal note.)
Sounds like you’ve got a good handle on the situation!

i also got my girls a coach wristlet about $35/each. And Stammie16 I totally agree, I wish I would have bought one for me, too!
