I’m doing some DIY-ish totes.  There are a variety of totes at Hobby Lobby and they go 50% off sometimes.  Then I got some glitter paint (the fabric kind) and a stencil of some letters I like.  I’m going to put their names on them and maybe some kind of embellishment, like a heart or a star or something.  =)

Sometimes you can find nice tote bags on promotional item websites, where they sell pens and cups. After you get a tote, you can take it into a mall kiosk somewhere nearby to do the monogram.

Good luck! 😀

I am doing something similar for Out of Town bags for our guests. I am getting totes at ACMoore or Michael’s and then going to Etsy for iron on transfers.

@crepe: Good idea, as well. I know of several places in my mall that will monogram and I had it done once and it was great.

I found mine on ebay.  The were like 5bucks a bag or less. Personalized and zippered tote bags

I have to second the weddingchicks suggestion – they are adorable and totally customizeable!
