I am torn and don’t know what to get. Usually I’d ask some of my friends, but they are the ones reciveing the gifts, so I can’t! #brideproblems! lol
I have been debating whether or not I want to purchase my bridesmaids button down shirts monogrammed (with their initials). Is that something that they can enjoy after the wedding? Would you be excited to get that or just think it was another photo opp for the wedding day? Have you been given one?
I was also thinking sweatshirts that are a quarter zip-up. They are super cute and would also have their initials monogrammed. However, since it’s only quarter zip I’m not sure if they’d be able to wear it to get ready the morning of the wedding. (I’m paying for all of them to have hair and mak-up done). BUT I feel like the sweatshirt is something they would get more use out of.

@Razzmatazz: Personally, I don’t think I would ever wear the button-down again and I would prefer the monogrammed zip-up. Have you considered monogrammed robes? That is definitely something that could be used again!

@Razzmatazz: I think those are cute but I wouldn’t really see it as a gift- more of a photo opp.
Are your friends really into monograms? I have a bag monogrammed – but that’s it. I don’t wear anything else that’s monogrammed, and I probably wouldn’t.

I wouldn’t wear monogrammed anything after the wedding, so to me it is more of a prop for your wedding pics than a gift.
A quarter zip is not a good idea for women who then have to pull it up over their hairdo and possibly makeup.

@Razzmatazz: Okay, I’m taking back what I said about the sweatshirt because I think that’s totally cute haha .

I guess it depends on your friends….I’m not a monogram fan in general. I’d see it as a photo op.
Only issue with sweatshirt is that its half zip and if the girls get hair/makeup done in it, how do you get it off without messing up hair/face?

Sweatshirt over button down for sure, I’d wear it at least at home. Robes are always good too, and better monogrammed than sweatshirts.
Agree with @julies1949 that you don’t want to give them anything they have to pull over their heads.

@sunkissed19: Right?! I think the sweatshirt is SO cute! I wouldn’t say that are really into monogram…I could probably drop the idea of the monogram all together.
@Dareebs: I do like the idea of the robes! I will check some of those out.
@julies1949: Yeah, I definitely don’t want it to be something they feel is another photo opp. I want it to be a gift they will really enjoy and use. Thanks for the input!

@Razzmatazz: This robe from La Vie en Rose reminds me of fireworks (New Year’s Eve wedding)
and is on sale for $11.99

@julies1949: Thanks…that’s really cute! Definitely reminds me of fireworks, too.
My only hesitation with robes is that it will be winter. I think I’ll want to wear black yoga pants with a button down I have from my grandmother. That’s why I’m trying to find something comfy and warm…hence the sweatshirt idea. I know it was kind of a stretch.
I have been looking at North Face zip ups, waiting for them to go on sale!

@Razzmatazz: Um, yes please. I’ll take one in every color. I would wear that every day. Where’s it from?

@Razzmatazz: That sweatshirt is freaking adorable and I’d wear it everywhere.

LOL oh goodness! Now I’m getting confused!
The button up is definitely out…I was never really sold on it. However, I thing the sweatshirt is adorable, even if they can’t wear it the morning of!
I found it on Etsy…
So far the owners have been very pleasant and prompt in responding to questions!
