I am not, I let them know before hand, and it’s pretty standard in our group of friends to pay for your own hair.  I am not requiring updos though, they could leave it down if they wanted!

I am not requiring my girls to get their hair done. I don’t want them to have an up-do. 2 of them are doing their own, 2 are getting it done.

I would love to pay for them to get their hair and makeup done and buy their dresses for them, but I just can’t budget it in.  I did however make it optional.

I did not pay for their hair because I couldn’t afford it. I didn’t make it mandatory though… I told them that if they would like hair/makeup done these were the costs and I would arrange it for them, but if they preferred to do their own hair/makeup that was fine with me. Everyone opted to get their hair done and do their own makeup.

ETA: I did’t require updo’s either. I did ask they did not get a style too similar to mine (half up and curly), but thats it. Two opted for updo’s (one curly one french twist) and one opted to just have her hair totally down but curly.

They didn’t expect me to, but I surprised them by paying for hair and makeup. I just felt like they had paid for so much already (their dresses and shoes were cheap or paid for by my mom, and my parents paid for the shower, but they threw the best bachelorette party ever including a plane ride, hotel, and all food and activities.)

I didnt. I gave my girls the option of getting their hair done. There was only one salon in the area so I told them the price. I also told them they did not have to get their hair done, but all of them did.

@afuturemrsl: No, I am lucky, my Maid/Matron of Honor is a fabulous hair dresser, she is doing everyone’s hair except for her own, which I think her boss is doing for her 🙂

As part of their Bridesmaid’s gifts, I am paying for a matching piece of jewelry and their manicures the day of .

I’m not, mainly because I don’t really care how they wear their hair. I let them know that the lady who is doing my hair will do theirs for $35 if they want to get it done, but I’m fine either way. I’d do my own hair if I could figure out how to pin it up and attach the veil without it falling out in 10 minutes, lol. I have like zero hair style skills aside from straightening.

I paid for their hair and make-up.  I thought it would be something they would have appreciated (not having to worry about it and having it professional done), but not all of them did.  If I could do it over, I don’t think I would have.

I’m letting them do their own hair. I don’t really care what their hair looks like 🙂

I am not, they are more than welcome to join me when I get my hair and make up done but they know if they do they will have to pay for their own. With one exception I will more than likely pay for my JR Bridesmaid or Best Man just because she  is my niece and will be here for my wedding. She lives in another state and stays with my parents for the summer usually.

My friend is a hairdresser and knows she wants something expensive, so she asked if she could get it done separately. So I asked my other maid of honor what she wanted to do, and she wanted to do her own hair–so that was that/ Then I asked one more lady. I guess I haven’t told her yet! Uh oh! But they’re all doing it their own way.

The are all probably having down dos even though it’s black tie. I think they’re going to look gorgeous.

EDIT and my hairdresser friend is doing my hair and makeup as her present. AWESOME present! 😀

Nope, I put $50 towards each of their dresses and I’m covering all tips. Plus we’re having a friend who owns a salon do it for $30 each so I’m not too worried.

My Future Sister-In-Law is going to be my Maid/Matron of Honor (only bridal party member) and her mother (FMIL) is going to pay for both of our hair to be done the day-of.
