I told all of my bridesmaids that they can pick whatever dress they wanted as long as it was tea length, purple and satin. They decided to pick dresses from the same line. However, just a month ago we found out one of my bridesmaids is pregnant.
We’re looking into empire waist gowns since that would offer alot of room for the hips and stomach area. We’re also thinking of ordering from a maternity line. We know we should order bigger, but we were told if we ordered the dress too big, it would be hard to alter. We’re wondering, how should we pick the most accurate size? She’s about three months along now. She will be 7 months along by the time of the wedding. How much bigger should we order?
Her measurements are Bust: 41, Hips: 43
This is the maternity sizing chart for our chosen dress line:
She’s almost a L now. Should we order a L, an XL or a 1X? Should we order two, three, five inches bigger in the bust size? Any advice?
