I had cupcakes made to “pop the question”. I was expecting them to come out a little nicer than they did but I went with a new bakery who I’d never worked with before. They even f’up the flavors as I ordered something specific but they gave us just plain vanilla. They did make me a “bride” one for free though, so I can’t really complain. Funny little tidbit that still makes me laugh… apparently my MOH’s cupcake fell over on the way home so when she opened it, instead of it saying “Will you be my Maid of Honor?” it said “Will you be my Ho?”, lol.

ETA: I gave them the cupcakes at one of our bi-monthly lunches when we all get together (we’re all close friends). They were totally expecting to be asked but I still think they liked the thought that I put into it.

I printed out *free* printable “Will You Be My…” cards from weddingchicks.com. On the back of each card, I added a friendship quote, “If friendship were a flower, I’d pick you,” and a personal message to each bridesmaid. I also mailed each girl a simple handmade pink peony necklace from an Etsy shop called peachtreelane. My pink and gray wedding will be in a huge flower garden next spring, so it all kind of went together. Good luck! 🙂

PS: I have also seen hand-stamped spoons with cute little messages, like this one below. If your gals are coffee fanatics, a spoon and a little bag of coffee would be a cute idea. 🙂

I’m getting mine necklaces. Not intended to wear for the wedding just with a sweet meaning (the starfish) that they can wear whenever. And a card. I dont plan on getting on one knee but i will definitely be proposing. For the rehearsal I’ll end up getting them totes filled with goodies (haven’t decided what to put in them yet).

@firstlady878:  My gals loved it. They all laughed when they read the outside and then got tears with the personal inside. If you want the file I can send it. 🙂
