Has anyone else done this? I have created boxes for the girls I am asking… I included cards that had something I had written (stolen idea from another photo I saw of these) cameo necklaces in olive green which are not in these photos as they had not come in yet, inspriation photos, paint chips with our wedding colors and I am waiting on all natural little bars of soap and the wrappers on the soap will have each girls name.
Any advice on how to ask for their repsonse though? Also, should I ship them or give them in person??? They all live locally, however I was thinking how much i love getting a package in the mail that I am not expecting….
Feel free to steal any of these ideas!

@tarapaul2016: I love the idea of the boxes, and I would ship them BUT I think you’re going a little far with a ‘will you be my’ box.
You have so much figured out already – they haven’t said yes yet and you’re telling them about their dresses etc.
I think you should stick to something small and sweet, with a note asking them to be your Bridesmaid or Best Man – maybe include an RSVP card for them to send back?

I did something very similar for my bridesmaids and they all loved it! I also knew they would all accept. I had a box that I stamped on the outside that said “will you be my” and when they opened it there was a tank top that had the word bridesmaid on it, I also included a chanpagne glass that was hand painted with their names on it, a small bottle of champagne and a bottle opener. I also typed up a cute little poem and put that in the box. I invited them all out to dinner for a “girls night” and gave them the boxes.
My Fiance did something similar for the guys, he used ingraved cigar boxes and put a small bottle of alcohol, shot glass with their name and the tie that they would be wearing for the wedding. He mailed his, the guys had no clue until the package came in the mail and they were a huge hit! Of course I saw all of this on pinterest lol

Yup, I did boxes too [horrible picture, my camera blows]
I will be hand delivering one, and shipping the other.

@MsGinkgo: inspiration cards are hardly telling them all about their dresses. I know they will say yes so I want to make them feel special

@tarapaul2016: I just saw the little text cards you have there, I can’t read them, so I assumed you were giving more information than you are, I guess I was wrong. I still think that they should be a little more gifty than ‘will you be my Bridesmaid or Best Man and here’s all the stuff I’m thinking….’ just my opinion.
I didn’t do a box, I just asked my girls.

@tarapaul2016: I think they are lovely! I also think it’s a good idea to put in stuff like “your role” and what the dresses would be like. I mean, they will probably say yes no matter what, but if you wanted them in super expensive gowns you weren’t paying for, better to know upfront so they could bow out, right?

The cards tell them how beautiful they each are and how important they are to me. that I want them to be comfortable and enjoy the experience and that I hope we all make great memories together. I am giving each girl a necklace and two bars of all natural soaps that I love.
