I also went the box route. Stained them, used an oil based sharpie (best thing ever, fyi) to do their names on the top, glued scrap book paper into the inside of the lid, and printed the “Will you be my bridesmaid?” on sticker paper, cut it out and stuck it on. Then filled the box with the requesite goodies!

Everyone’s ideas are so creative; I love it! All of my best friends and my sister/MOH knew about the proposal before I did. My fiance proposed at my college graduation, so they were all watching when it happened. My best friend who is a photographer captured the whole thing, which was really awesome :). But barely an hour after the proposal, I was like, “So do you guys want to be my bridesmaids?”

Printed labels to personalize the different perfumes I got for them, plus a ring pop for the ring, and (the pièce de résistance imo) silk thread bracelets in their dress color (grayish lavender) with 14k gold beads for the morse code letter of their first name – in this case “R”. Theme is modern minimalist so the bracelets would be perfect for their dresses also. 🙂

slomotion:  Yes.  Very thoughtful, but I just am, well, are bridesmaid “proposals” expected now?

Also, OP, I didn’t realize you had a kiddo.  How old?  Congrats x2!

sunshinedaydream:  Definetly not! I casually just went ‘uhh, by the way you’re a bridesmaid’ and it was fine. It probably depends on your budget, and you’re crowd, but I really don’t think it’s an expected thing.
(Saying that though, I’m from Australia, and maybe its become a big thing in the US.)

I just went with these cute cards from etsy with heartfelt messages. I live far away from everyone so over Easter I was able to see my flowergirl and her parents for brunch and my Maid/Matron of Honor and one bridesmaid for a lunch to give them these in person. My final bridesmaid I had to post hers to. It was lovely to hear their reactions 😊

mrsbrizz2017:  I put the stickers on the green scrapbook paper, which I glued into the lid, but yes, they stuck well!

I’m doing two seperate one’s…the “popping the question” and one for the day of.

My popping the question one were  actual boxes for my bridesmaids in my hometown of DC, and the bags were for the one’s who live here in LA.

My “popping the question” boxes included things related to the location. Sunscreen, lip balm, and a workout tee that says “malibu”. I also included a personal message in a bottle, to officially ask my bridesmaids. I didn’t want to over do it, cause then I would run out of things to get them for the day of box. My day of gifts will have jewlery, photos, alcohol (I couldn’t ship that anyway), etc.

As far as the little clothespinned question, I had them take a photo with it, holding it with a thumbs up or a radiant smile.
