I need a bit of advice for my bridesmaid shoe color choice. Here is the dress:
At first I told my girls that they were free to wear any color shoes they wanted, but now I’m really reconsidering that decision. I’ve gone through thinking I should ask them to wear black, but I’m not sure if that will detract from the dress because of the dark purple.
The wedding is in late October. Our wedding colors are purple & blue with accents of green & orange.
I also thought about asking them to find shoes in blue, green, or orange, but I’m also afraid it will make them look too matchy-matchy to the proceedings.
Any help or advice is really appreciated.

I’d go with nude.
With such fun colors black might be too heavy. I agree that a color with those dreses would be sketchy. If it were me I’d do a beige/tan/nude heel that would basically disappear. With so much color elsewhere I think a neutral color is your best bet, maybe if you still want something fun you could do a bow or flower or let them pick their own.

I think gold or black would look nice. Both will blend in without taking away attention from the dress.

@kala_way: I agree … you can’t go wrong with nude.

Definitely a neutral. Nude, gold, or bronze. Silver as a last resort. If you do a dyable, I’d go with green, not purple.

I would do nude or a bronze metallic.

i also agree with PP about going with nude or gold…i think those colors would work really well with your scheme and dress colors, and black is a little too harsh.

What color are the men going to be in? Our groomsmen will be in black tuxes so I’m having my girls (dark purple dresses) wear black shoes and a black cardigan if it’s chilly.

I, too, am having a late October wedding. My colours are Brown and Blue. My BM’s dresses are blue. I want them to pick shoes they would wear again. First, I was going to do this:
Then, I thought, it’s too much because the dresses are blue (vs. if they were brown) I have 3 bridesmaids, why not each wear a different colour, but “gold”, “silver” and “bronze”. But then that was too complicated (esp. with one bridesmaid hurt that she was “bronze”…ugh)
So then I decided everyone in silver. My asks of them was that it was close-toed or peep toe (i.e. no sandles) and no flats.
For your dresses, I would do black or silver. Nude is too hard to find.

Thanks for all the opinions. I told the girls to find whatever they liked along a light gold/blush/cream spectrum. I hadn’t considered that before, and I think it will work out really well!

What colour accessories will they be wearing?
Considering the fact that the dress has grey in it, I think a silver would match best. Your overall wedding colours are quite funky. I like the first shoe posted by julies1949 above. That will go beautifully! Perhaps something just a shade darker.
