I’d suggest they get gold shoes.

It’ll be way easier on you if you just leave it at that – let them pick their own! Plus, then they can get shoes they love.

Are you using an accent color for your wedding?  a light or bright blue or a lavender  as well as pink look great with a dark brown.  Or you can go form something reusable like a silver or white shoe or just a brown shoe.  Since they live in different cities I wouldn’t go for something that matches.  Let them pick, especially if the gowns are long.  Give them a color ans say go for it.

I think metallic gold or bronze looks very nice with brown.  I agree that it will probably be difficult for them all to get the same shoe unless you find something you like on zappos.com or piperlime.com.

David’s Bridal sells swatches of their colors for $1.00.  If one store is out, keep calling around.  The are attached to a piece of cardboard and can be slipped into a mailing envelope with no problems.

This may help you in finding shoes that look good with that color.

My BMs wore that color, but the dress was floorlength, so the shoes didn’t matter.

Even if it wasn’t floor length, though, I still wouldn’t have minded if they chose whatever color shoe they wanted. In looking back at my photos, none of them showed any feet except for once we got on the dance floor, and then everyone was barefooted anyway!

Seems like the other girls gave good suggestions…just wanted to give you another perspective that might help with your connundrum…

I was recently in a wedding and wore a brown dress.  We all shoes of our choice but all in gold – it looked fabulous.  We all wore our own gold jewelry, too.
