So I need a little (or maybe a lot) of help deciding on what color shoes to go with for my girls!
When we first ordered the dresses, I told them I wanted them to have purple shoes and my heart fluttered at the thought of this idea. Seriously, I was pretty darn excited over those purple shoes.
But I am having mixed feelings now..is it fair to make them buy purple shoes? Am I being a bridezilla?
In the weddings I have been in and for most women I know, we buy new shoes for things like this anyway, no matter what the stipulations.
Their dresses are $150, which, in the wedding world isn’t TOO terrible but isn’t the greatest price ever either. Is it ok to expect them to HAVE to pay extra for shoes? I have been in weddings before where I have spent almost $300 without complaining, so originally I thought it wasn’t too horrible of me..but Idk now
This is what I refer to as our “color” palette.
Their bouquets will be mainly shades of purple, with some red. (I am making fabric flowers)
Their dresses are being made by an etsy seller, and will be similar to these but without the ivory and with darker shades of gray. They will also be tea length instead of knee length.
They will be wearing these black cardigans..
So, basically, our options are either to stick with the shades of darker purple shoes, or, to go with mismatched black shoes.
Well, I guess there is the option to let them choose either color as well. However, this could cause my mild OCD to turn into crazy, scary, (homocidal?) OCD if only 2 girls chose one color and 5 chose the other. Hence the reason I could not trust them with handling the mismatched dresses on their own.
Also, if it matters to you, I will be wearing this black sash. So I don’t want to overdue the black too much.
Now that I have went off on about 40 tangents..
What do you think?
