We are getting married in september, our colors are burnt orange and cream. my bridesmaids are different sizes, different styles so my plan is to let them each pick their own dress from the same designer and same color. I just don’t know what to do with their shoes. I don’t want to buy shoes that they are never gonna wear again, and i’m pretty sure one of my bridesmaids is gonna get a short dress so if you guys could help me out that would be great!

Let them pick out whatever shoe they want. As long as it is say a peep toe or whatever style you think would look the best or in a certain color.
For mine for example I just told my BM’s to pick whatever shoe as long as it wasn’t a flip fop and in either of these colors, blue, white or silver. I rather they find something they will wear again than have them wear something that hurts and would never wear again.

@Sassygrn: I agree!
If I were you I’d give them a color you wanted and then let them decide from there.

I assume that their dresses are orange?
Why not ask them to wear any shoe they want in cream. That’ll look good, and it’ll be easy to find and wear again.

@meladoug: I did I told them in any of those three colors. Since those are my colors anyway.

Are you using any gold by chance? If so, they might use a pair of gold shoes again. Otherwise cream would be a great choice too (or a combo of the two, like below)?!

I saw pick a color and let them choose. I was in a wedding where the bride wanted us to wear black shoes. I said… ok that’s fine. But really didn’t have any heels that were super cute (or worth standing in for hours). So i decided on a flat which was different from ALL the other bridesmaids. Nobody noticed (or cared) to my knowledge.
