I’m having issues helping one of my bridesmaids find shoes. The main issue is that she wears a size 13. She would prefer a flat shoe (and I’m okay w/ that – plus my other bridesmaid can’t wear heels for health reasons). I was at the mall w/ my partner the other day and it seemed like NO store had flats in a size 13! I’m debating having a shoe painting/decorating party so even if we find shoes in a different shade, as long as they’re a 13, we can change it. Ideally, we’d like a white shoe… but anything will work. Even better if it’s comfy AND is also available in other sizes. Less expensive is better. Also, she really hates to buy things online (I heard this and was all “How can we be friends? You’re being voted off of the island”). Any help is appreciated

@MsLobizon: Does she already own any shoes that would work? Or maybe she has favorite companies that she shops at? I feel like she has to own something already, because its not like she can go through life without shoes. I would have the other bridesmaid buy shoes that look similar to what the Bridesmaid or Best Man with size 13 shoes already has.

I agree ask her where she buys her shoes, and see if she anything that work for her. I’ve seen big sizes at normstrom rack, also I think payless has large sizes. She may have to order online.

Nordstrom Rack! Also check out zappos because you can search by size.

My sister wears 11-12 and usually buys her shoes from Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack. Not sure if they have 13 though!

@asscherlover: She has very few pairs of dress shoes, and primarily wears sneakers or Keds. She also won’t wear leather (or rarely will, my pain killer is making my head foggy) due to personal beliefs. I really am okay if she wears something like Keds, especially if she’d be comfy in it. We’re planning a day to hit up some stores, so maybe we’ll find something together. She doesn’t have a ton of shoes (at least compared to me, haha. I’ve taken over our closet and still need more space). I don’t know all of her shoes, but she said she won’t wear anything she currently has (I asked).
@TwoCityBride: & @OrigamiLove: thank you for suggesting Nordstrom Rack! It’s on the other side of town from me (and 45 min from her) so I rarely check it out. I’ve kind of been hinting that online may work best, and I’m hoping she’ll give Zappos a try (Zappos is a dear friend of mine practically! I love that I can order 10 pairs and send them back if tehy don’t fit. I was searching for the perfect pair of shoes for a conference and their shipping is so quick).

Not sure if you have a rogans or a shoe carnival in your area- they are good for carrying large sized men’s shoes- maybe they do for woman’s as well?
