So my bridal shower is next weekend and my bridesmaids haven’t been very active in planning anything for it. My mom has actually been planning all of it. Do I still get all of them gifts?
My bachelorette is later that night and my Maid/Matron of Honor is planning all of it. I plan on giving her an extra special gift in her wedding present but should I give her something at the bachelorette too?
I’m just not sure of the etiquette of all of this!!

I’m giving my BMs a gift the night of the rehearsal dinner (jewelry). For the shower and bachelorette, I am going to just send a nice thank you card afterwards. I hope that’s not too little! I am seriously financially strapped right now 😛

My bridesmaids didn’t plan my shower, either. (Mom did). Actually, they didn’t even attend. So no, I didn’t get them any extra gift for that haha!!
I got my Maid/Matron of Honor something extra for planning my bachelorette party, though. Gave all the bridesmaids their gifts the day of the wedding, only because 1 flew in from a different state the previous night, and I wanted to give all the girls their gifts at the same time. I think brides usually give their gifts at the rehearsal?

I never heard of giving BMs gifts at the shower! My BMs helped my mom plan a bit and helped out a lot the day of the shower. I’m going to give them their gifts at the rehearsal dinner.

My mom paid for the food at my shower and my sisters (MOHs) planned most of it. I’m sure the other girls helped too though, and a lot of them are out of towners so its harder to help. I just got them something little to let them know how much I love and appreciate them!
I wrote them each a personalized thank you note for helping plan/host my shower. I also got them all a purple nailpolish (some essie and some OPI – couldn’t find 7 of the same nail polish at any store so I bought 3 of one and 4 of another and the color was almost identical between brands) since our wedding color is purple. I also got them all a small box of chocolates from a local chocolate shop and a small starbucks card ($10 for BMs and $15 for MOHs). They all seemed to really like their gifts and I don’t think they were expecting anything which made it even more fun to give them something. A bunch of them have said they will wear the purple nail polish on their toes for the wedding. Although I’ve told them it wasn’t my intention – i just wanted to get them something cute – I’m super excited about them all getting into the color scheme!
