@Niqs: I got each of them a clutch (all different according to their tastes) filled with wedding day emergencies, and then got them each an individualized gift (treated it like a second christmas or birthday). I really wanted them to like what they got from me!

I had a maid of honor and a dude of honor.  I got each of them a Swiss Army knife.  Both were thrilled.  Then again, that may just be because they are both my kids, and we share weird tastes.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got my bridesmaids a Coach wristlet. I joined their email list and recieved a 30% coupon. So I went to the outlets and got them super cheap. I also got them a pound of a gourmet fudge shoppe in our area. Then I got them something little that was personal to them (ie my cousin collects precious moments statuettes so I got her a bridesmaid precious moment from the wedding collection).

I spent about $60 on each girl. They LOVED their gifts. I saw my bridesmaid Friday night and she had her wristlet. It made me feel good!

I have 6 bridesmaids, and I decided to do something like I saw on the blog, tote bags filled with wedding day things, plus one or two personalized gifts. I also got them each a really nice white pashmina (from eBay, awesome deal) that they can wear with their Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses after the ceremony.

I am not married, but I have been a bridesmaid twice in recent months. For my best friend’s wedding, I recieved a flip cam (amazing gift, but I’ve never used it), a personalized tote bag (LOVE), flip flops that matched my dress (totally got used), and a makeup bag (also great). I think the flip cam was VERY nice but not necessary. She also gave me some giftcards to eat dinner and go to the movies because I was the Maid/Matron of Honor and did a lot of extra planning/spending. It was very sweet because I did spent a great deal of money that I don’t have and I sacrificed a lot of going out in favor of the wedding ๐Ÿ˜›

For my sister’s wedding, she gave us beautiful earrings that matched our dresses. It was a very nice gift and I loved them, but they’re not something I’ll ever wear again, sadly.

I love gifts that aren’t just about the wedding. My personalized tote bag has become a beloved gym bag!

I’m doing something personalized for them to wear the day of (either men’s shirt or robe) and then purchasing their hair and makeup services. I also purchased them all necklaces when I asked them to be BMs, so I consider that part of their gift ๐Ÿ™‚

I got/organized a spa day for my ladies after the wedding (we haven’t gone yet).  I got certificates for a manicure, pedicure and massage. It’s a nice way to have an event after the wedding to spend time together.  Everyone I know has too much “stuff” but value experiences.

I got my bridesmaids Fossil watches and had the inside of the watch engraved “MOH” or “Bridesmaid” with our wedding date. They LOVED them. Also did this for all the groomsmen. My husband and I have been in weddings before and gotten gifts we never use. We got the idea for the watches because they are very much in style right now and it was something they could actually use!
