- Wedding: July 2012
Having an issue with one of my bridesmaids. I’ve been engaged for over a year and a half now and since I asked her to be in the weddign she’s gained about 50+ lbs…which isn’t a problem for me, but now she’s determined to lose it before the wedding. the thing is the girls need to order dresses by January and she’s convinced she will be half her size by the time the wedding comes and she won’t try on dresses and she is scared to order anything. I don’t friggen know what to do. I’ve asked the bridals shops how difficult or expensivie it will be to bring in the waist of a gown considerably, should we decide to order in her size now and they said it would cost probably as much as the dress to do extensive alterations….so much so that they’d probably just try and rush order her an entirely new dress should she lose tons of weight.
She has lost lots of weight before….but she usually isn’t very healthy about it and she jsut doesn’t eat much and then it comes right back.
anyone else have to deal with this? I don’t care what size she is…but I don’t want some delay with her dress or her shocked about the cost of alterations.
