Her attention will be on her infant…and rightfully so. You mean to tell me there is no one there willing to hold the baby for a few minutes while she takes pictures? As far helping you with duties I assume you are old enough to be able to do this yourself or have other BMs/people that can help you instead of expecting a brand new mom to help.
And the baby is way too young to be away from its mother for more than an hour much less with a babysitter the whole time. That’s ridiculous to request of her.

armybride2014: just wait until baby is born. If Bridesmaid or Best Man brings it up ahead of time you’ll have an idea of what she’s comfortable with (I assume she will bring baby and partner will attend and help while she takes pics/during the ceremony). Like PP said, you never know what could happen–baby could be early, late, delivery could be awful or breezy. If it’s her first kid she has no idea how she will feel post-baby. You’re lucky she’s going to be there at all! Just support her and she’ll support you. It will be fine!

armybride2014: i’m in a very similar situation – one of my girls is due 2 weeks before the wedding (which is 5.5 weeks away)…but really she could deliver at any time. she’s also single…and she won’t commit to anything or tell me any of her plans. i am just gonna let it flow and see what happens! i have so many other details to worry about…that can’t be a big one for me 🙂
