That is really stressful! You don’t want your BMs to looked poured into their gowns and sorry to break it to them, 1 week of “starving” won’t make that much of a difference. The dress sizing was a shock for my girls, too because they aren’t average street sizes so it really played with their head. Also, a wedding is a great excuse to want to lose weight but sometimes, it just doesn’t happen.

Have you talked to them about ordering extra fabric just in case? When I did dresses with my girls, the store had to have my final approval before they placed the order and they actually read off the sizes that they each ordered. Could you call the store and ask what sizes were ordered as compared to their measurements and suggested size? That way, you know exactly where they stand and if so, I would ask the BMs to order extra fabric in case it needs to be let out and if they refuse, I would think about paying for it myself. You can only let out a gown so much.

Hang in there but be strong and stand your ground. *hugs*

Some of mine did that and I was so nervous but just made sure that ther understood that there are no returns for size issues and i would not pay for a second dress (i paid for almost half of them)… the dresses came in and the girls said “they’re tighter than i expected” and i was like well duh, but they zip and everything so i’m thinking if they lose 5 pounds, the dresses will fit them comfortably, which they can easily lose in a few weeks, and we still have a few months… hope it works out for you!
