I don’t know the “rules” for when to give them, but I plan on giving them the gifts the day of, since it’s jewelry for their outfits.

Fiance will be getting cufflinks from etsy for his guys. They are less than $30.00

Good gifts for groomsmen: nice wallet, monogrammed/engraved flask if the Groomsmen is a drinker, upscale tailgate kits (these usually go for abour $40-60, basically it’s a fancy stadium chair with a cooler built in so you can carry your beer in it and when the beer’s all gone, you can sit on it), ID bracelet if the guy will wear it.

In my experience, gifts for the bridal party have always been given during the rehearsal dinner. That is what we are doing. If there is not rehearsal dinner, I’d probably say the day of the wedding- that’d just be my preference.

We are stuck on groomsmans’ gifts too. We are thinking about a set of pint glasses (4) that have the last name of the Groomsmen on them, for example “Smith’s Pub  Established 2010” (or whenever their wedding year was). I don’t want them engraved, but a colored print. They run about $40-$50. Not set on that idea, but it’s the best one we have so far.

We’re giving the gifts at the rehearsal dinner as well, that’s what I’ve always seen done. We’re giving the bridesmaids jewelry and the groomsmen ties. We’re also figuring out what else to give them…I’m giving my Maid/Matron of Honor a flask, but we haven’t figured out anyone else’s gifts yet.

@lovelymayday:  I gave my girls their gifts when they came to visit me before heading out for my destination wedding.

I got the guys shotglasses with their names and the wedding date engraved on them. my two girls were both coffee nuts so I got them coffee travel mugs with their names and wedding date engraved 🙂

i gave the gifts out after the rehearsal.

as for the guys gifts, you don’t have to give them all the same thing.  i am not a fan of typical guy wedding gifts, flask, mug, etc so i thought of each guy individually and based it on their likes.  what would you give them if it were their bday or something?

We`re giving everyone their gifts at the rehearsal dinner.

For the guys we got their ties, personalized geeky cufflinks, and bottle opener keychains with their initials engraved on them.

I am going to give my BM’s their gifts at the rehearsal dinner.  However there is a chance I may host a Bridesmaid or Best Man luncheon and if I do, I’ll give them their gifts at the luncheon.

I think my FH is going to give groomsmen individual gifts to suit each guy’s personality (that’s what I did for my BM’s).

My understanding is that the gifts are given @ the rehearsal dinner 🙂

We gave the Groomsmen socks to match our wedding and then giftcards to stores that fit their perosnalities (some sports stores, some music stores)
