So I was looking through pictures of various weddings in the colors I’ve recently chosen. I was a little shocked at the solid bouquets- but they look great with a different color dress (IE black dress red flowers). I’ve never seen an actual bouquet for bridesmaids done in a solid color. I’ve been in two weddings and both times it was an abundance of color and variation. So just curious on what people feel looks the best and what fellow brides to be are going with.

I Vote other. I think it depends on what you’re going for. My bridesmaids had solid color ones, but mine had two colors in it. I think it all depends on what you really want the look to be.

I voted solid because that’s what I’m doing, but I think it depends on your colors. Ours are b&w and green, their dresses are black, so their bouquets are various green flowers. If my colors were like autumny reds oranges and golds, for example, there are many flower options and a multi-colored bouquet would look great. It just depends on your colors, their dress, and what flowers are available.

I’m going solid white w/ green non-matching gowns. The last wedding I was in was solid red w/ chocolate brown gowns. I think the solid color flowers is becoming an all around trend for bouquets and centerpieces. I think it’s a cost saving measure, really.
But, my Maid/Matron of Honor based her whole theme off of some mutli-colored paper, so the flowers had all those colors in them. Really unusual colors together too like purple and orange and blue and golds and white. Pretty, and totally matched the paper she started from.

I think complimenting the bride’s is best. So if the bride is carrying a solid bouquet, it makes sense that the maids would too; if the bride has a mixed bouquet, the maids can have a simpler/smaller version of the same thing. 🙂

Personally, I’m doing the BM’s in white and mine in color…but really…anything goes!
