Can you afford to pay the differance in the dresses so everyone is happy? Or maybe find a different dress in a price range everyone agrees on? Just out of curiosity which website is it?

Yikes!!!. If the one bridesmaid ordered throught them before is there a reason to doubt them. Did her order go ok and did she receive the dress? The yes See if them come in. Is there tracking?

@jsrt2012:  If it’s the exact same dress – why don’t you give the girls options.  Say there’s this shady website that “X” found and you could order through there, but you want the dress in hand by “X” date.  Find out what the ordering time frame is from DB and use their ordering deadline as the ‘in hand’ date.  If your sister’s want to risk it, let them… but you shouldn’t have to be in a lurch because of it.  It’s not worth the $50 dollar savings, IMO.

@jsrt2012:  oh, then definitely forget it and have them order it from DB (use the color doesn’t match as the reason!)

If the color doesn’t match the color you want, then that is a perfectly valid reason not to go through the website.  And you only have 4 months — so if anything goes wrong, you won’t have much or any time to find a backup dress.

Was everyone okay with the $139 before they found that shady website selling the dress for cheaper?  If so then going back to the original David’s plan shouldn’t be a problem theoretically because it what you planned to do from the beginning.
