I am in a wedding this weekend and have an alteration question. The dress was chosen by two men, with no women trying it on, so of course there would be a few issues. Mainly, it has a plunging neck line, and pretty much no back. I am a double d cup size and the halther works TOO well for the girls. It is verging on looking like I’m trying out a for a job at a gentlemans club. Clearly real alterations are out of the question, but I was thinking about adding some material to the top of the halter to allow for more space for the girls. Any other ideas? Below is a link to what the dress looks like!

Can you post a pic so we can see how bad it is? If you’re handy you may be able to swing something.

May not work but maybe you can buy one of those banded bras in the same color? I know they’re not really dressy (stretchy t-shirt material) but it’s a quick fix.

If you’re wearing your hair down you coult try to add an elastic band at the very top of the halter where it rests on your neck. You can find this pretty easily at a fabric store and cover it with some material of the same shade. This assumes you can wield a needle and thread though.
