I am getting my dress made…My dress will be in quite a similar style to the following:
(The above pictures will not be exact replicate…just a inspiration pic)
The designer of my dress works for Ines DI Santo so he will pull the fabric dirsct from her workshop..so this will be the fabric (or vary similar…I will get a sample and add a real pic later)
(The dress will be made of Alencon lace, the picture above is a sample of Alencon)
I am having a hard time trying to figure out the type of bridesmaids dress to compliment such a bridal gown.
I am stuck between going with a satin type fabric…or a softer fabric like chiffion.
I know the dresses will be long and black.
I need your bees opinions on what type of fabric to use? Any ideas?

Why only satin or chiffon? Lace just as it originally be is a great choice.

I think satin would look awesome with that. But that’s just my gut reaction. Will the dress be done in time for you to try it on with the two materials so you can see? Or can you pick Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from a store with a bridal gown of a similar style that you can wear while your BMs are trying on dresses so you can see what they look like next to it?

@tracy332: laces can look very differentt…so i am afraid it will look quite different to my dress. but maybe if i shopped with a fabric sample i may match close enough

So, did you receive the fabric sample? Which fabric do you choose finally?

no I didn’t get the sample….BUT I am strongly leaning towards some Dessy dresses in LUX CHIFFON!!!! they are so pretty!
Some pictures to show you
The dresses retail for like $250, but I found some Bees talking about Netbride, so I contacted netbride and they sell for $182 including taxes!!! The shipping will be $20 for ALL the dresses if I ship to my aunts house in Buffalo , NY.
What do you bees think? I am not opposed to Satin, I just so happened to find these dresses. I was thinking everygirl can pick her own style of dress too!!!
