Honestly the shorter dresses look country bumpkim-ish. 

I think a maxi length dress in a lighter fabric would work to be barefoot.  Anything heavier i.e. satin, taffeta, would look like the drunk girl who needed to take her shoes off. hehe.

I don’t think I would be particularly happy if the bride asked me to go barefoot except on a beach. I would do it if it was important to her.

I assume you have a location where it would be safe to do so.

All the girls including the bride need to remember to avoid tan lines and let’s face it – some women have ugly feet!
