I am having a fall wedding with fall colors, burnt orange, red, and yellow. I have 4 bridesmaids, which 3 or them are bigger girls. I don’t want them to look huge, so I don’t knwo what color to pick for their dresses. I don’t want to use brown or black. Any ideas?

@Mhamm463: I had a fall wedding and used those colors as well.
My bridesmaids all wore navy and it was a really nice “neutral” without being brown or black and the flowers really popped against the navy:

I honestly never thought about that. I really like it. Thank you for sharing.

I had a similar issue, October wedding, 6 bridesmaids, one was bigger. I went with eggplant purple and I believe they will all look great.

@Mhamm463: No problem. I hadn’t thought of it either and was chatting with on of my BMs about the dresses and how it was so hard to find a color that would work. Because I didn’t want to put them in orange and green didn’t seem quite right, etc. And she just said “what about navy?” And that was it. It was the right color and I had no idea why I hadn’t thought of it!

My wedding colors are Navy blue, champagne and peach. The bridesmaids are wearing navy blue for their dresses. Peach carnations will be their bouquets. And they will have champagne colored shoes. They are going to have A-line dresses with a possible V-neck (some type of strap for bust support no strapless) and I also like the ruching (also slimming on plus sizes) so Im going to have them incorporate that into all their dresses. I havent decided if I want the bridesmaids to all wear the exact same dresses or different dresses with the same length, color and fabric. I read an article on how to dress plus sized BMs (4 of my 6 BMs are size 12 and up). They said a darker color A-line dress will flatter most body types. Heres the link if you would like to read further:

I chose an eggplant-ish purple for my October wedding as well. The dress we picked look good on all body types! Good luck 🙂
