Hi everyone! I am in need of some advice. My fiance and I are in a bit of a time crunch. He’s from England and we are basically waiting for the government to give him the go ahead with his visa and then when he gets here we will have 90 DAYS to get married. So needless to say, I am trying to get as much down now while he is out of the states before the timer starts.
I am very budget conscious (plane tickets are NOT cheap) and actually got my wedding dress at a Black Friday sale for $99!! And the veil came with it! And it just doesn’t seem right that my girls spend more money on their bridesmaids dresses than I spent on my dress. AND I chose a color that’s a little difficult to match — It’s sort of a light blue aka Tiffany Blue with red as an accent color. Another issue is that I am having my fiance’s little sister in England be a Jr. Bridesmaid and I want her to have an afforadable dress she loves that also matches my bridesmaids dresses. I found a dress that I love for the girls, but I dont think I can find a jr. dress for his sister that will match.
So what it all boils down to is, would it look weird to have my 3 bridesmaids and my 1 jr. bridesmaids all wear different styles of dresses of their choosing all in different shades of light blue, that way his little sister won’t stick out as the only one who is different? The only stipulation I was going to make is that they all be knee-length (or shorter), non-shiny, and within a few shades of the dress below. Will that look okay?
Oh and if it makes a difference, my fiance is going to wear a grey suit and his boys are going to wear black suits of their choosing or that they already own. I figured I have a big white dress to make me stand out so why shouldn’t my fiance have a color that makes him stand out. Oh and they will all be wearing matching red ties though to pull it all together. So in my mind, the boys will all be different and yet similar and the girls can too? What do you all think? Is it too mis-matchy??
