I think I may have an idea together on my bridesmaids gifts. They are all very different, and I thought about just buying them separate gifts of something they’d each like, but they pretty much buy whatever they’d like for themselves so I wasn’t coming up with great ideas.
Two will be 8 months pregnant.
- Tote bag with a pretty design & their initials (I know we all have too many totebags, this is basically just to hold the other items like a gift bag & because I have VistaPrint credit, haha).
- Pretty floral lightweight robe to wear while getting ready/at the salon (I am paying for their hair and makeup so we’re all going together) – I found a gal on Etsy that makes them that can make them fit their custom sizes.
- A new Camelback bite valve water bottle in a coordinating color, keep hydrated the next day and we all use something similar to these, I figure can be nice to get a new one every few years.
- A book or some magazines picked out custom to their interests.
I’m trying to keep the cost to about $50/gal and this would be right at that, maybe slightly over. I thought about giving them jewelry to wear at the wedding, but they all have plenty of silver jewelry already, seems less like a gift and more like a part of the wedding.

one thing, will the robe fit if they are pregnant? i just remember when my mom was pregnant (albeit with twins) she could not get a bathrobe to fit, at all!

I like it! It’s a good mix of stuff for the wedding and stuff not for the wedding.

@kerensa: Great point. I am going to have them made slightly larger, but even so, they may not fit. They are a shorter, lightweight robe, so I figured they could leave them open over whatever shirt they are wearing.
@FutureMrs.browneyes: I will PM you.

I think that’s a great gift. (If I was a bridesmaid that would be awesome to receive.)

@NAvery: Love it!! Can you share the robes?? I want to get some but haven’t found any decent looking ones for under $60 a pop!

Here are the robes – JustCottons on Etsy. I am no way associated with her and haven’t yet ordered from her, so I can’t vouch for her. I will say she was super fast to respond when I asked about a custom group of robes and sizing – she lives in India it looks like.
I do think the white fabric looks thin, so I’m ordering black for my bridesmaids and the purple for me. These look more like robes to go over a shirt than robes to wear alone (unless you’re at home).
