(Closed) Bridesmaids Gifts? How much do you spend? Is this enough?

It also depends on the girls.  If left to my own devices there’s no way I’d have my makeup professionally done for someone else’s wedding so while I would appreciate the bride paying for it it wouldn’t feel like a gift.  However, a necklace sounds perfectly nice.

I struggle with this one too. I don’t expect my girls to have their hair and makeup professionally done as they are all look nice on a regular basis. I am also doing my own hair and most likely one of my BMs will do my make-up and she’ll prob do the make up of the other Bridesmaid or Best Man too. So I bought them all flip flops, lip gloss, a small bag to hold it, a set of 3 bangles and a necklace (it’s the wedding color but not for wearing on the day). I feel like I should get them something meaningful that is not wedding related but have no idea what.

I think that is enough but know where you are coming from. I have that problem where I always think what I’m gifting people isn’t enough and usually end up overspending. When it comes to gifts I receive, I am not picky at all and I usually love everything and anything I get!

I am getting my girls monogrammed tote bags, bath wraps with their first initial embroidered on them, sephora cosmetic bags filled with beauty minis (advil, bandaids, makeup towelette, etc) and maybe a lancome/MAC lipgloss…

I think it depends on the budget of the wedding too, but I think that is enough.

Also, I don’t think its an obligation at all for the bride to pay for their bm’s hair and makeup.  I have always paid for this myself if I wanted it to be done professionally, or I did it myself.

I probably only spent about 50-60 a person.  I got them a necklace/earring set from macy’s, flip flops, a BPA free water bottle, makeup bags & some day of essentials & a recycled tote bag to carry it all in.

I got them necklaces that were $200, on super sale -so I paid a lot less.  The money doesn’t matter as much as what the gift is or means to them.
