Have you tried contacting the admin of Etsy about this seller? Maybe speaking to PayPal about getting the money back? I can’t remember what the policies on PayPal are anymore but it’s worth trying.

I don’t know of any places to look for good jewellry in the states but if I think of anywhere then I’ll let you know.

I am so sorry! Have you tried ebay maybe? I got mine from Davids Bridal. I also get a discount there.

why don’t you try a department store, like dillards or macys. or ross or tj max.

Bimba,

Have you tried Avon?  I got my bride’s maid’s jewelry (necklace & earring set) from there.  It already came in a box so no muss, no fuss on the wrapping.  It used to be $32 but I waited for a few months and it went on sale for $8 for the set!  Score!  =)  I have a friend who sells Avon so I just bought it from her.  I combined the jewelry set w/ a scarf (bought at the mall), and a small clutch bag (bought from etsy).  I’ll buy the paper bag and tissue from the dollar store (different colors based on their fave colors) and I’ll write a thank you note for each of them (I have 4 bride’s maids) & put it in the bag as well.  I’ll give it to them during rehearsal dinner night.  Cheap but personalized.

Hope that helps!

PS: Notify etsy regarding the bad merchant.  Leave bad reviews if you can.  Keep all email exchanges you had for proof.
