My maid of honor who is also having a spring wedding in May is having grey bridesmaids dresses as well 🙂 she doesn’t want anything bright she’s opting for darker colors of navy and grey with an accent of coral. It’s not the norm for a spring wedding but I think it will look great. I say go for it! 🙂

Grey will be fine. It makes a beautiful backdrop for all sorts of colors in the bouquets.

I am doing gray bridesmaid dresses as well and my wedding is in May. I am also doing pops of color in my bouquets and floral centerpieces so I think that is what will add the color to the wedding. Great minds think alike and I think your idea is great. Congrats!!!

I love gray dresses. What about a pop of color when it comes to the BMs shoes?

bridalbliss425:  I am having the girls wear a light grey, the groomsmen wear a dark grey and my Fiance is wearing a light grey tux with a red tie (he loves red and wants to stand out hahaha) So i think the different shades are perfect!

Being a New Englander myself – I think grey would be a great color. I’m actually planning an early September wedding myself and am looking at different shades of grey/blue for my wedding also. I am not really fond of bright colors in general, and I think the grey would be a nice touch during those awkward in-between season days.

I’m thinking about a grey/blue, maybe that might be a nice direction for you to consider as well?

bridalbliss425:  I’m having my bridesmaids wear grey for my April wedding in New England! I’m not worried at all, it’s a beautiful color and will use their floral bouquets for a pop of color. 🙂 good luck! Dont be afraid of grey!

I think the idea for grey dresses is great its an open palette for a variety of colors in your florals. Also grey does not have to be drab, if may recommend a designer Jasmine Bridal’s B2 collection has an awesome silky chiffon material that makes their colors, even their muted colors, pop. The store I work at carries them and I just had a bride do one of their silky chiffon styles in a neutral stone color and for her girls and it is gorgeous.

You only get married once, so I’m all about choosing the colors you like regardless of the season.  My bridesmaids wore dark plum in July- and I saw other brides out taking pictures on my wedding day also with dark plum bm.  I matched it with bright yellow rose bouquets and it looked great outside.  I would do a fun spring bouquet with the gray dresses.  It will look great and you’ll save a bunch of money choosing in season flowers.
