I actually like it. As long as their dresses are different enough, I think it looks cool and modern.

Hmm eh. I think it’d look cuter if the bms were in white and the bride in ivory/ blush / etc . Or if the bms have long sheath dresses then the bride has a ball gown or something, where the brides & bms dresses are really different.

My Maid/Matron of Honor was worried about wearing an ivory dress with teal dots (and teal sash).

I was like, honey, don’t worry about that. I’m the only one wearing a veil. LOL!

I like it.

@lovin_iswhatigot:  I have mixed feelings about it. I wouldn’t want them in a color that matched my dress, but I do love the pictures where bridesmaids are wearing neutrals (ivory/cream/blush) that are close to the shade of the bride’s dress, especially if they’re in a different fabric or style than the bride’s dress (similar to the pics @kellykapoor: posted). I do think it’s interesting, though, that it’s standard for groomsmen to match the groom, whereas the bridesmaids are supposed to look different than the bride. The groom should get to stand out a bit too!

My Bestfriend is doing this for her wedding but we are wearing knee length ivory dresses.

I think bridesmaids look great in white.

Sometimes white can be the most complementary color for wedding dresses. There’s something so refreshing about it, too.

I don’t think white dresses make the bridesmaids look like brides. I clearly know who the bride is. I don’t rely on color to tell the difference between members of the wedding party.

@gelaine22:  atlbride! I think that’s her name… Maggie smith avatar. She was the first person I thought of!

I think it looks nice, but the bride needs to have an extra wow dress so it doesn’t get lost in with the maids.

I never understood this rule. With the exception of wedding crashers, all your guests should know who you are regardless of what you’re wearing. Only a moron would get thrown off just because other people were wearing white.

I personally love it. Although I didn’t choose white, I think it looks beautiful and I think the bride always stands out the most even if someone else wears white. I wanted to pick a pink/ivory as light as they come to the color white, but not actually white white. I ended up picking “petal” by Bari Jay and I love it. In traditional times, bridesmaids were supposed to dress exactly like the bride to confude anyone/men who wanted to kidnap/steal her from her groom. They were to look like her to confuse these abductors from who the bride actually was. I read this in Mindy Weiss’ bridal book.

“petal” pink on Bari Jay dresses. Not me. I love the lighter colors.

@lovin_iswhatigot:  I was a bridesmaid wearing white in my friend’s wedding! At first i thought it was weird/funny but looking back at the pictures it really was so pretty…

The all-white bridal party trend has been around for a few years. As long ss the bride is easily distinguishable from her BMs and her white dress is more beautiful I think it looks nice.

Op, thr first pic you posted fails IMOm I like the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses way bbetter.

I would totally have my girls in white…if my dress was pink or something. Too much white just doesn’t appeal to me, especially if they are different shades of white. But I love it when the bride is wearing pink and her girls are in white.

I’m not a huge fan of white BMs dresses when the bride is in white/ivory also…I do like it when the bride is in a blush dress or some other color though then I think it works really well…but I don’t hate it either way, it can work but it’s not my personal tase. I personally enjoy adding some color to the wedding with the bridesmaid dresses.
