Eek! So it seems out of my three bridesmaids TWO will be joining the Peace Corps by the time we get married and one will be in a different city. Now I’m very happy for my ladies – this is a very big dream for them and I’m excited that they’re getting their life wishes – but now I’m left without maids! D:
I know I could always select two different ones but these two are very important to me and being married without them there just does not seem right. We’ve played with pushing the wedding forward but then it just seems so rushed…
Anyone else have girls they just can’t replace?

I can relate a bit – I’m still waiting to see if I’ll have 5 or 6 bridesmaids. A friend of mine has applied for a very prestigious job overseas and won’t be able to come to the wedding if she gets it. My personal perspective is that it’s a win-win for me – either my dear friend will get her dream job, or she’ll be able to come to the wedding! For her sake though, I’m hoping she gets the job!
I’m sorry to hear you’re left with one bridesmaid. You could push the wedding forward if it’s that important to you. Have you talked with your family members and other VIPs about it? The wedding date on your ID is still a very long way away. What’s stopping you from moving it up a few months? How much sooner would it have to be to accommodate your BMs?

They wouldn’t leave until after they graduate so I have until about August 2011(maybe a bit later) if we wanted to push it up – its just one of those snafus that catches you off guard in life

True, true! I agree this is a major snafu. But if it helps, I’ll tell you that you can definitely plan a wedding before August! Maybe it’s not what you had in mind, but that’s still a pretty long engagement.
Best of luck to you!
