So, I realize that this is not everyones cup of tea. At first it wasn’t mine either! I found this photo of really adorable paisley birds (they are actually patches) and thought, “How cute would that be to get one as a tattoo?!” Then I showed my close friends one night, who happened to all be bridesmaids and they LOVED the idea of each getting one! Mine would for sure be the fourth one down on the left. What do you think?
And for those tattoo gurus out there, would they have to do a black outline? Or could they be all color?

@HelloRaeven: These are cute! I love the one you chose.

@somethingaquamarine: Thanks! I love the tiny heart, and since it’s not got a whole lot of details, I’m hoping it wont hurt as much.

@HelloRaeven: Cute. They could theoretically be all color but a lot of the paler colors will fade reeeally quick. If it were me I’d get it outlined in black with a few color touches.
Also, those designs are pretty small – I bet the shop guy will ask you if you’re okay with him blowing it up so it’s at least 20-30% larger than the originals, especially if you want all those tiny details like dots, teeny curliques, etc. With some of my smaller designs (under 3 inches) I’ve been asked that in a couple different shops.
In addition, I would personally worry about a design so small and with so much detail and/or color fading – you don’t want that to look like a 2 inch blob in ten years.
But cute idea! Would you and your maids all get one? Not that I’m a fan of group tattooing, but the individual designs are cute. 🙂
