@paris.reed:  Now that’s funny!

Did it bother anyone else that the dresses on the poster didn’t appear in the movie once?

i LOVE that movie…. but i get so angry on the main character’s behalf whenever i watch it.

at the dress shop “oh it’s on sale” and everyone’s like oooooh. But it’s like…. five billion dollars! are they freaking serious??? her BFF knows her financial situation and still picks the uber expensive dress. it seriously makes me angry.

@the boss of you:  I didn’t know they were married in real life! That makes the scene between them on the plane even funnier 😀

@the boss of you:  I probably would have liked it better that way. I’m not saying that I dislike it because it’s popular (I’m not that hipster), it’s just hard to push the “omg it’s so great!” stories out of my head to enjoy it. There were a lot of movies that I saw as pre-screenings (like Little Miss Sunshine) that were easier to appreciate because I went into them totally blind, like the first bite of a really good meal that you’ve never tried before that just does something great to your senses. (I’m tired so that may not have made sense.)

I guess that I am in the minority. I am actually sick of this movie. It just doesn’t seem as funny anymore

@nursemel:  I agree. It was very hyped up to be the epic female comedy. Yes, it was funny, but there were parts that were just not funny. I did have some LOL mooments watching the movie but other parts of the movie (like the beginning with the bed scene), I just did not care for it.

Would I watch it again? Maybe. Would I recommend it? Maybe. Is it the greatest movie ever? No.

@abirdword: The main character, for some reason, made me NOT like her. She seemed whiny and needy. I did really like Melissa McCarthy’s character though.

I love Bridesmaids. I love Kristen Wiig, so sad she’s not gonna be on SNL anymore. My favorite scene of Bridesmaid or Best Man is on the airplane. I almost die laughing at the conversation between Annie and Stove, uh I mean Steve 🙂

I love this movie. I remember watching it with Fiance and having tears rolling down my face because I was laughing so hard. He was even cracking up.

YES!!! I freaking die laughing at the airplane scene, it is hands down the funniest scene in a movie EVER. My opinion, of course, but I love the movie! And I think the main characters are very human…you can pick apart their flaws, but tell me you don’t know a girl like every single one of them. I know I do. And I think we all have those moments of self pity you see the main character falling into. And the toast scene between the main character and Helen is supposed to be awkward, for me that’s where the humor comes from.

“Yeah, oh s***. Yeah, oh s***! Took a hard, hard violent fall. Kinda pinballed down. Hit a lot of railings. Broke a lotta s***. I didn’t…I’m not gonna say I survived. I say I thrived. I met a dolphin down there. And I swear to God, that dolphin looked not at me, but into my soul. Into my God**** soul, Annie. And said; I’m saving you Megan. Not with his mouth, but he said it, I’m assuming telepathically.”

I was legit laughing so hard I couldn’t breath during this part, but so was the whole theatre so I didn’t make a fool of myself.  I love Melissa M.  My brother says he refuses to watch it because it’s just a females The Hangover, when it actually is nothing like it.  Oh well, his loss.  I actually think it’s better than Hangover.
