Hi bees! So yesterday, my three bridesmaids, mom and Future Mother-In-Law, and I went bridesmaids dress shopping! It was so exciting. Everyone got along wonderfully, we had a great time, and all three ended up purchasing their dresses! So what’s the deal?
I got home last night, sat down to unwind, and I just couldn’t stop worrying about the necklines… My best friend/maid of honor was adamant about getting this two strapped, sweetheart neckline Bill Levkoff dress. And my other friend was adamant about getting an Alfred Angelo one shoulder. My future sister-in-law was as sweet as can be and ended up really loving the Alfred Angelo. Oh, and then there is the slight, slight difference in the navy color. We looked in natural light, and the store lighting, and I felt like it was totally acceptable and everyone agreed.
So I gave my Maid/Matron of Honor the ok to get the different dress. My dress is a strapless sweetheart neckline, Maid/Matron of Honor is two strapped sweetheart, and two maids in one shoulder. So I was trying to picture all four dresses together… And I felt so stressed out!
Wait, why do I care?? I have never been worried about things like the dresses matching, or this style or that style. I am normally a very low-key bride! Maybe it is the stress of wedding planning slowly sneaking up on me. Maybe it is because I let them chose their dresses, and this felt like something less in my control. I was dreaming about dresses last night!
Haha, I suppose this is just a little rant to get these dresses off my mind. How about it, bees? Did you end up stressing out over something you never thought would bother you?
