I went to a wedding a few months ago where the couple getting married picked their favorite books, wrapped ribbons around them and had the bridesmaids and groomsmen carry them down the aisle – it was beautiful.

@Rachael1287: We are doing either single stem or wrist corsages. Not so much because of budget- but it’s just what we are doing!

@Rachael1287: Have you thought about just having them carry a single stem? It is still really pretty!

I was in a wedding where we all carried fans instead of flowers. It was a destination wedding and the bride didn’t want to pay extra money for flowers that we wouldn’t be able to transport back home. It didn’t look odd at all.
I love the photos above with the bridesmaids carrying only 1 flower, they look so cute. Have you also looked into the cost of babies breath? You don’t need a lot to make a full looking bouquet. I’ve seen a lot of brides who go for just the babies breath and no actual flowers. With that said, I have no idea how much those bouquets cost.

BM’s are walkido dogs down the aisle so I may get them a corsage and not do a bouquet. I think its preference.

I thought about having one flower. It looks great in those photos, but I just kind of thought that everyone might be holding their flowers differently and you have stems going every which way and it would drive me nuts. I decided against it, but I only have 3 bridesmaids. I did however get only a single flower for my honorary bridesmaids
