@OctBride13:  Can you post some of the dresses that you are thinking of? I’m not sure what BL dresses look like! Material? Color? etc. 🙂

My girls all wore slightly different cuts of the same basic dress.  The fabric was the same, but the necklines were different.  Kept things uniform but still unique.

@OctBride13:  I am doing the exact same thing, long chiffon navy dresses, and I’m going with Dessy so that there are more options. The fabric also feels nicer. All my girls will be in different dresses

@OctBride13:  I think that if the bottom half of the dress is the same (and same color, material, etc) then you can go with different tops. My girls wore navy blue as well, but dupioni, and it looked fabulous.  I think different tops can look very cute, but all my girls wore the same dress:

I just litterally picked out my bridesmaid dresses last night! We did all short navy blue bridesmaid dresses I don’t have the girls in the dresses but I have a pinterst board with all the dresses they choose. It was better this way because I have girls from B’s-DD’s so they could all choose dresses they felt comfortable in.

Ours weren’t Bill Levkoff but they were different.  Same fabric and color but different styles.  They were Alfred Sung.  I was really happy with the way it turned out and the girls were much more comfortable knowing they had the flexibilty to choose a dress they knew would look great!

I don’t mind different styles as long as its the same designer, fabric, color and length.

@OctBride13:  I went in wanting to see a few particular dresses on each girl a few chiffon and a few satin we collectivelly eliminated the satin ones. So I just said that they should all pick the ones they liked we tossed a few options around alot of dress switching but everyone was really happy in the end. I did say I wanted everyone in different dresses and just the same length and simple no flowers etc…

I just took my girls on Saturday, and we picked 7 different dresses! Each maid looks AMAZING in the dress they picked and they all chose one they loved!! All the same length and color 🙂

Please let your girls pick! finding one dress that looks good on all body types is nearly impossible.

@OctBride13:  I went bridesmaid dress shopping for a friends wedding this summer on the weekend, and we decided on 3 different Bill Levkoff dresses for the BM’s/MOH. As long as it is the same material, I think you can definitely get away with different styles of dress. But, if one girl were to wear satin and another chiffon, that might look a bit funny!
