OK, so due to the varying shapes and sizes of my bridesmaids, I’m thinking I’ll go with them choosing their own dresses. However, to provide some continuity, would it be OK to require them to buy a certain shoe? I found one that i love for $49.95, but I don’t know if that’d be weird… Anyway here is a picture of the shoe, but the color would be silver (the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are black). Opinions appreciated!

I don’t think it’d be weird. I’m contemplating doing the same thing, as I want my BMs to wear fuschia shoes (most likely wearing a grey dress). I’m not sure what your BMs want to spend, but as long as the dress is reasonably priced I’d say it wouldn’t be too much to ask. I’d just ask each bridesmaid individually if they’d mind so no one feels too pressured if they can’t afford it. Plus, the fact that they’re silver makes them something they might get more than one use out of.

I agree with everything @mikaylav3 said. I would just see if they can afford the shoes. It should be fine, especially since you’re letting them find their own dresses! Plus, those shoes are super cute :).

Oh, and I was at DSW yesterday (I live in Rhode Island) and those shoes were on clearance with a percentage off. 🙂

I think it should be totally fine! If they can choose their own dress than they can budget it accordingly to work with buying the $50 shoes. Plus – those are really cute shoes!

I think it could look really cute for those who are paying attention to their feet…

I dont think its weird, I think since you are giving them the freedom to find dresses that they feel more comfortable in they can just deal with getting the same shoes, and those shoes are great so why not!
