Who cares what they want? It’s your wedding! Did they forget that somewhere between try-ons? Tell them they can wear what you want them to or not stand with you at all. Stand up for yourself. And give them a little reminder that this economy now sucks and while they may be doing well, others are not so well off. I think a little reality check for them is in need.

I think people underestimate how much BMs want to be as cute as the bride. I gave my Bridesmaid or Best Man the option of buying their own dresses to save money as much as to let them find a dress that will be flattering to their individual figures and almost all of them bought $300+ dress. Not that I am condoning their behaviour just maybe some perspective. Maybe talk to the other bridesmaids and see what they think? Or see if a middle of the line dress can be found?

OMG… you are just like me. I found a cute sundress at American Eagle and it was basically my color and it was going to be about $40. How awesome is that! I didn’t want my bridesmaids to spend an arm and a leg for their dress. Well, once it started going around taht I was looking at bridesmaids dresses at american eagle… i got some under the breath remarks… like it wasn’t good enough. I’m trying to save my Bridesmaid or Best Man from spending a lot.
I was also trying to cut some corners where I could by DIY.
Anyway, the dresses I was lookng at would be perfect for a summer wedding down on the beach. Our plans changed and we are now having it in november (18 days away). I had to go a little more formal so I caved and got dresses at davids bridal.
