Mine are walking alone, but exiting with the groomsmen. It just seems easier, especially since they don’t know each other.

People sill do that. I’ve seen them walk together, men enter from the side and ladies walk alone, or alternating between a braidesmaid then groomsman- separately [MOH, best man, bridesmaid, groomsman, etc]. You do it how you want!

You can do eithor way.  We had the groomsmen already at the alter with my husband and my BM’s walked alone down the aisle but at the end they walked paired up to go out the church.

Our wedding party is walking alone and they’re alternating (Bridemaid then groomsman then bridesmaid etc…)

I am having them walk together (2 of them are married couples anyway).

I voted alone, not because I necessarily prefer that over walking with groomsmen, but I think it’s totally fine. I’ve seen it at a lot of wedding. The groom comes in from the side door and takes his place at the front, then the groomsmen come out of the same door with him and stand to his side. After that, the bridesmaids walk down alone and then the bride. I think it does look fine. I’ve seen weddings where the groom didn’t have any groomsmen and the bride had bridesmaids and they walked down the aisle (didn’t stand next to the bride, just sat down after walking) and it looked perfectly fine.

I love the movie My Best Friend’s Wedding and this clip popped into my mind. The movie chose to do the first scenario I described for their wedding http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-YHDQMAY5Q

I’m having them walk separately because I have one song I want to use for the processional and I kind of want to stretch out the bridal party’s entrance before the big flourish at the end where I would walk in.

I’ve seen both done. We’re going to go in pairs, with one Groomsmen having two BMs on his arms, since I have one extra lady.
