Fiance and I picked our bridal party when we got engaged. I do not have any sisters or female cousins, and do not have many close female friends, so I chose my best friend as my Maid/Matron of Honor, and my future sister in law as my bridesmaid. Fiance has his Bridesmaid or Best Man and 2 groomsmen. We do not have a ring bearer, only a flower girl (our almost 3 year old niece).
I originally wanted a close guy friend of mine to be part of the bridal party, but FI’s side was already full. I’m considering it again now as the wedding approaches, but the issue is we already only have 2 females to 3 males, and I don’t want to double them up.

If I included him, would it look strange to pair him up with FI’s groomsman and they walk down together (obviously not linked hands…)? I suggested having the groomsmen already up there, but Fiance doesn’t like the idea, and understandably, my Maid/Matron of Honor really doesn’t want to walk alone (it’s a long walk down to the beach…).
Anyone had an uneven party before? Also, what can I officially call him? I feel like bridesman sounds silly!
