I think it would be fine to have more people than your Fiance, and definitely don’t worry about the gender, it’s becoming pretty common to have both sexes on both sides. If they’re important to you guys, include them. People are way more important than symmetry! :o)

you can definitely have guys stand on your side, regardless of what the groom is doing. nothing is ever set in stone with weddings – do what you want! if you want to make them stand apart from groomsmen and make sure they’re seen as “bridesmen,” you can have their tie (or shirt) match the bridesmaids dresses. i think it’s cute they want to show they’re there for you!

I had a bridesman. He is one of my closest friends and I couldn’t have imagined the day without him. He really kept the whole entired day moving.

It was great to have someone to run around for us who didn’t have to get ready. He was able to get ahold of our florist when I couldn’t find my bouquet. He checked on everything at the venue to make sure it looked the way I wanted. It was the best thing I ever did, plus he kept me the calmest of anyone else.

I had not one, but two bridesmen and it was awesome. My husband had a best man, and two groomswomen. It was the way we wanted it!

I’m having two bridesmen, three maids, and Fiance is having all 5 as groomsmen! Do whatever suits you best!
