Oooh you should totally do it!@M.Ruder: posted some really cute inspirations!

I definitely think it’s a cute idea and you’ll love it! We’re going purple for our Feb 2012 wedding. 🙂 Doesn’t have to be all red, green, or icy blue, ya know?

I’m all for it. I’m having a fall wedding with spring colors! I say… it’s your wedding. Do what you love. Who says you can only have white and gray at a winter wedding? You are choosing all the decor, and you will look at the pictures. Do what you think is right, not what the magazines and blogs tell you!

Your best bet would be to get decor now through summer since they seem to wipe shelves of color starting in september!

Yes, I say do your own thing! I used bright colors in December (though it was a beach wedding). Here are a couple of very different boards.

The first one is somewhat seasonless – it does incorporate red with the yellow/orange combo, and I think it has a subtle Valentine’s day vibe without being all red-and-white. (Maybe it’s the roses?)

The second one shows a combination of orange and gray/silver – VERY unique – and the silver/gray gives it a “cooler” winter feel. You could easily combine some yellow with this combo.

Have fun, and do what you like!

I think you can absolutely do what you want.  I think yellow in February would be quite invigorating!

@M.Ruder: Where did you get the little white bride’s jacket?  That’s the type of jacket I was thinking of getting?

I plan on doing a Red, Ivory, Charcoal, (Deep) Teal Black Tie Wedding in December!

I think with February you can do anything! I wouldnt think you were limited to just deep winter colors! Depends what the Groundhog says right?!

mine is in feb 2012.  i’m considering sage and chocolate brown but stuck on the colours of the flowers and groom’s colour for his waistcoat!  any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  also, the reception venue is surrounded with glass over looking its gardens with hanging white drapes on the ceiling.  don’t know if i shold insert a colour in the drapes or add any dainty accessories.

i also intend to have a mad hatter cake!
